The gameplay will become more complex, which means savvy gamers always have the edge on other competitors/players, since they already know what to do and expect from the upcoming update.
The update will also include the Academy Clan, which is designed for newbies to experience and learn about basic clan-related features. At level 10, they can instantly join an academy to check in the clan hall, get rewards, and participate in clan dungeons.

Equipment Collection Tier Levels
CP and Stats Calculator Based on Equipment Tier Level
Credit to Hunt3r1206 for creating this convenient tool
This tool helps you foresee the amount of CP and individual stats to gain after inputting your character’s equipment tier levels.
Under the Codex/Collection tab, input the tier levels for each piece of equipment (see table above for reference.)
I have a PvP weapon with these stats:
- Level: 30 SR
- Enhance: +22
- Attribute Enhancement: +5
- Limit Break: Max weapon level 38
Therefore my input should be this:
Under Future Stats tab, you should be able to see the amount of gained CP and individual stat numbers. Based on the input above, the result should be this:
The potential amount of CP to increase is close to 500K CP, so collect and strengthen all your character’s equipment and become a strong mercenary!
Players between levels 10 through 180 who haven’t joined a clan yet can join the Academy Clan to experience and learn about basic clan activities. This clan is managed by the game’s NPC (non-player character) and players of the same server will be assigned to the same Academy Clan.
Individually, a player can progress similarly to that joining a normal clan, but only limited to basic clan-related content such as
- Clan Check In
- Clan Greeting
- Lord’s Favor
- Clan Dungeon: Players can request participation on a specified time and day of the week
- Clan Hall: Peddler Pan’s Gift, Fireplace activates at a specific time every week
Take note that the value of the rewards may be lower than those acquired from a normal Clan. There also may be restrictions on how many times you can claim such rewards.
3 new features will be added on the massive August update:
- Clan Preferences
- Only the Clan Leader can select and configure the Clan Preferences, which can include language, Clan’s play style, main login time, etc. This should be helpful for recruiting Clan Members or for looking for a suitable Clan.
- Now you can find a Clan that fits your style!
- Chat Reporting Feature
- Netmarble has decided to improve on the chat feature. August’s Update will include a new chat reporting feature. You can select the character icon in the Chat window to open a menu with a [Chat Report] button. Tapping this button will allow you to report any profanity, discriminatory chat content, harassment, or any other chat content that may make other players uncomfortable. This system improvement will provide a clean and enjoyable chat experience.
- Cut-scenes / Skip Videos Function
- This new toggle function will allow any player that has difficulty viewing cut-scenes or videos to automatically skip them. We hope that this will provide a smoother gameplay experience to even those with lower-spec devices!
- However, if you opt to skip but other Party Members opt to view the cut-scenes and/or videos, then you will have to wait until they finish viewing!
That’s all for now from the latest Developer’s Notes of the official game forum. The exact date of release will be announced soon on a separate forum blog. Meanwhile, enjoy the PlayL2R guides we have in store for you!

MissSolo’s Video Tour on Magnadin Update
Freely teleport from anywhere on the field to the massive city of Magnadin! This is a friendly environment capital where Player Killing (PK) is not allowed. Many convenient features are available in this one-of-a-kind city of Aden. Let’s take a closer look at four of those features.
The Beauty Shop allows players to swap out their standard hairstyles for something more exciting. The Stylist NPC will guide you through the process of changing your hairstyle and even your hair color!
① Select a Hairstyle.
② Select a Hair Dye.
③ Turn your Costume on or off.
④ Select a Default Hairstyle from the Hairstyles.
⑤ Select a Luxury Hairstyle from the Hairstyles.
⑥ Check the price of the Hairstyle you’ve selected.
⑦ Go back to previous Hairstyle while trying on different Hairstyles.
⑧ Select the desired Hairstyle to purchase.
Players can purchase Hair Dye by using Adena and Red Diamonds.
※ Hairstyle and Hair Dye are bound to a character.
※ Even if you change Deck, Hairstyle and Hair Dye will not change.
※ You can select only one Hairstyle and Hair Dye color at a time.
※ If you are wearing a One-piece type Costume, then it is impossible to check the Hairstyles.
※ If you change the Hairstyle or Hair Dye you were using, then the previous Hairstyle and Hair Dye will be destroyed and replaced by the newly purchased ones.
Account Storage / Character Storage
A storage system is also available with the addition of Magnadin! Use Account Storage to share items between the characters on your account, or use Character Storage to stow away items taking up space in your Inventory. Store important items safely! Just be aware that the type of storage will change based on the tradability of the item being stored.
All players have a normal slot number of 20, and you can expand your Character Storage by up to 200 slots with Diamonds.
You can store your bound and unbound items at the Personal Storage.
Mercenary’s Spirit Buff
There are many things available to all the Heroes who visit Magnadin. A special World Boss drop item can be used to grant the ‘Mercenary’s Spirit’ buff to all characters visiting Magnadin at the time! The NPCs of Magnadin will extol the character granting the buff and a parade will begin to celebrate.
A Training Scarecrow is also present in a corner of Magnadin, and can be used to check your character’s current CP. You’ll be able to test out moves on the scarecrow to see just how much power you’re capable of! Swap out the type of scarecrow based on different attributes (Normal, Elite, Boss, and Magical Monsters) to test out your damage with different weapons, too!
Accessory of the Hero
New Accessories of the Hero are added to help players show their prowess while on the battlefield. Equipping one grants you the Battlefield Hero Attribute which increases Attack Speed on the Battlefield (Arena, Honorable Battlefield, Fortress and Castle Siege).
These are the set effects:
Name – Tornado of the Battlefield
2 set – Max MP Increase Rate
3 set – Acc. Rate Increase
4 set – Crit. Rate Increase
5 set – Final Dmg. Increase
*Note that set effects apply on all areas of the Map, including the Field. Only the attribute bonuses are limited to PvP.
How to acquire: via Summon Boxes and Honorable Battlefield Exchange Shop (300~350 coins)
Thoughts and Recommendations
This is an awesome set for PvP addicts out there! Equipping a full set at Level 1 attribute already gives you +15% attack speed on the battlefield, ideal for classes that deal hard-hitting damage from normal attacks. However, this could be less enticing for newer and mid-game players as Nassen, Elven, and Black Ore sets give global effect on its attribute bonuses (meaning it can be used for both PvE and PvP). This accessory set is more of a luxury item and suits max-leveled players best.
Costumes added on Items
Costumes change character appearance regardless of equipment. Featuring these four new get-ups:
- Martial Arts Gi
- Royal Guard
- Knights of Light
- Desert Warrior
Items are on sale until July 10th for 1,000 instead of 1,500 Blue Diamonds.
Thoughts and Recommendations
Costumes in Global / KR versions are purely aesthetic, meaning you do not gain stat bonuses aside from making your toon look cool. This is not the case for SEA servers because costumes there give a specific stat bonus for wearing it. If 1,000 Blue Diamonds is not a big hit for your budget, then feel free to buy and make yourself look glamorous!
Field Boss (Roc)
This new Field Boss is located in Plains of Dion – Dion Castle Outskirts. The Shadow of the Blue Sky (Roc) gives you bonus Accuracy upon leveling up its monster codex.
Thoughts and Recommendations
Roc is relatively weak compared to Stenoa and Marsha, with only a recommended CP of 200,000 to be able to fight this boss head on. Don’t worry if your CP is less than recommended; you can always team up with stronger players and contribute even just a little and still get core drops. Since this is a new addition and a lot of players are farming it presently, take advantage by forming a party and participate every time the boss respawns. The main loot for parties with the highest damage contribution is an Absolute Shield skill page and Roc’s loot, in addition to Roc Core.
Enhancement System Improvements
A Safe Enhancement feature is now added on item enhancements. You will be able to save more Maphr’s Protection to use on +21+ enhancements. Now, from +8-20, it only requires additional Adena (3x or more than normal) to ensure that your current enhancement levels do not degrade.
Thoughts and Recommendations
1) +1 to +7: Use normal enhance scrolls. (No enhancement degradation).
2) +7 to +8: Use normal enhance scrolls. (No enhancement degradation, since enhancement threshold is met).
3) +8 to +10: Use normal enhance scrolls. (With enhancement degradation, apply Safe Enhancement by using additional Adena to ensure that enhancement levels do not degrade).
4) +10 to +11: Use normal enhance scrolls. (No enhancement degradation since enhancement threshold is met).
5) +11 to +14: Use normal enhance scrolls. (With enhancement degradation, apply Safe Enhancement by using additional Adena to ensure that enhancement levels do not degrade).
6) +14 to +20: Use blessed scrolls. (With enhancement degradation, apply Safe Enhancement by using additional Adena to ensure that enhancement levels do not degrade).
7) +20 to +21: Use normal enhance scrolls. (No enhancement degradation, since enhancement threshold is met).
8) +21 to +23~24: Use normal enhance scrolls. (With enhancement degradation, do not use Maphr’s Protection).
9) +23~24 to +30: Use blessed scrolls. (With enhancement degradation, apply Safe Enhancement by using Maphr’s Protection to ensure that enhancement levels do not degrade).
10) Note: Use normal enhance scrolls when your current enhancement level is +29. Apply Safe Enhancement by using Maphr’s Protection to ensure that enhancement levels do not degrade).
Adena has now become a huge factor in rapidly increasing your item enhancement levels and its set effects. Visit our Adena Farming Guide for more tips!

Thoughts and Recommendations
The kicker of the Honor Coin Trader is to entice players to complete the Accessory of the Hero set. The primary condition is to reach at least Gold 1 Tier to be able to purchase the last accessory piece (necklace). If lucky enough, players can also get these accessories in the Honor Summon Boxes. Buying a full set costs a minimum of 1500 Honor Coins total, meaning the average tier of a player should be Gold 1, and the player must collect the daily cap of Honor Coins every time the battlefield is open. For players not interested in acquiring the Accessory of the Hero set, they can buy 300 selection scraps for only 60 Honor Coins every week. That’s easily achievable even for casual players! A total of 3,600 selection scraps can be claimed this season. Grade R Attribute stones and Crucifix of Repentance are also available in the Honor Coin Trader.

- Monster Dungeon Improvements
- Clan Member invitation / Player support request function added.
- Open Siege Improvements
- Settings menu now accessible from within Open Siege.
