Introduction / Importance of Attribute Enhancement

S-grade and higher equipment (Weapon/Armor/Accessories) have special attribute bonus unique to their own types. It means that equipping an Elite Weapon, on top of its base damage, imbues bonus final damage when you fight against Elite type monsters. Likewise, a specific type of armor, on top of its DEF stat, decreases the final damage received from units/attackers mentioned on the attribute description.

Attribute enhancement unleashes the full potential of your gear and it directly affects the final amount or production of your equipment. This is extremely important because it could be the thin line between your character’s survival or death.

First let’s review the factors that affect gear strength. There are 6 ways to increase the effectiveness of your gear, namely:

    1. Level up (1-30)
    2. Limit Break (31-40)
    3. Upgrade (C,B,A,S,R,SR,UR)
    4. Soul Crystals (up to 6 slots)
    5. Substats
    6. Attribute Enhancement (1-10)

There are 3 important rules in attribute enhancement:

Rule #1: Attribute stones are primarily used to enhance the attribute of your rare equipment. Non-rares are secondary, and only recommended if you have a lot of spare attribute stones.

Rule #2: In relation to Rule #1, use the same type of equipment as primary material to enhance the attribute of your non-rare equipment.

Rule #3: Play with success rate percentages to maximize resources. In enhancing attributes, follow a pattern using different material grades.

Requirements

Like any upgrade, MATERIALS are required to enhance the attribute of your equipment. You can use either of these two:

  1. Same Type Equipment (i.e., Blue Rare Weapon to Blue Rare Weapon, Elite Armor to Elite Armor)
  2. Attribute Stones (i.e., S, R and SR Grade)

Attribute Enhancement has a SUCCESS RATE depending on material Grade:

  1. S Grade  – 10% for same material equipment, 8% for attribute stones
  2. R Grade – 30% for same material equipment, 25% for attribute stones
  3. SR Grade – 100%

FAILING an Enhancement gives a bonus success rate on your next attempt:

  1. S Grade – 3% for same material equipment, 10% for attribute stones
  2. R Grade – 9% for same material equipment, 25% for attribute stones

Note: After a successful attribute enhancement, the bonus success rate resets to 0.

*Note:

  1. Use an SR Attribute Stone on rare items from the start while your Fail bonus chance is at 0%, do not use if your bonus chance has risen to greater than 10%.
  2. Same Type Equipment is not recommended for Attribute Enhancement of Rare items, instead upgrade the equipment to SR and use for Limit Break.

What are your thoughts on accessories, specially with accessory upgrade stones being harder to get. My thoughts are just take the gear all the way to sr because it requires the least amount of stones.

You can just combine to SR and not spend upgrade stones, then salvage for UR crafting materials if you don’t get the desired accessory type. However if I get the desired accessory type at R, I would gladly spend 30 upgrade stones for assurance of getting the same type at SR grade. Then I can 100% enhance the attribute of my main accessory 🙂
