Welcome To The Ultimate Abyss Walker Guide
Abyss Walkers are Dark Elves (Rogue) that can be selected after finishing the Class Transfer quest at lvl 31. They specialize in daggers and wear light armor. Abyss Walkers retaliate with rapid strikes that makes up for their lack of raw power. Enemies cut by their dagger bleed and take extra damage.
Despite their speed, Abyss Walkers are very fragile. Dark Elves naturally have low HP and DEF; additionally, Abyss Walkers are a Rogue class that wears light armor, which does not provide damage reduction. However, thanks to fast attacks and movement fluidity, an Abyss Walker’s Evasion rate is extremely high and they can strike fast, which is a great advantage paired with their high base ATK and CRIT stats.
When you play an Abyss Walker, you are able to shine most in solo PvP because his skill set grants a high single target burst damage. Although an Abyss Walker does not provide huge party buffs, his bleed skill and damage potential makes him an important asset in a group. Abyss Walkers are beasts in Arena if you know how to approach enemy with combo attacks and manual evasion using the Abyss Walker’s move speed. The bleeding effect and additional Crit damage compensates for your lack of base attack stat. Using your Vicious Stance boosts Crit rate to max and greatly increases Crit damage. This pairs well with the Critical Power passive and Razor Rain skill to inflict a burst damage.
In PvE, an Abyss Walker also performs very well, because two of his active skills are AoE (Sting and Razor Rain). The Area of Effect is not as wide as the Bladedancer’s skills but it makes up by tearing through enemies at high speed. Abyss Walkers are also sought out in parties for Boss hunting because the bleeding effect on monsters allows all damage intake to be amplified. With the right skill and substats prioritization, Abyss Walkers are a huge threat in both PvE and PvP. You can compensate for the lack of HP and DEF stat by upgrading your Light Armor Mastery to be able to tank hits from open field monsters, especially when you auto-play while AFK. In PvP and PvE, you should always dodge skills spammed at you by your opponent, and AoE attacks, so having a Nassen Accessory set to increase movement speed is vital.
Character Review
Pros:
- One of the strongest single-target damage dealers in the game. Has the highest max damage out of all classes in the game.
- Massive burst damage from skill combos
- Multiple bleed attacks, making him suited for long, drawn-out fights
- Good in 1v1 Arena fights
- Sought after in team fights due to his amazing damage potential from bleed
- Very fast and crafty attacks
- Benefits a lot more from party buffs from other classes
- Great self-buff that increases Crit. Damage when you attack bleeding enemies
Cons:
- Lacks a high party buff
- Glass cannon. Pretty squishy for a melee class.
- Decent in Fortress Siege, but not the best due to lack of range attacks
- Doesn’t have the best Evasion, making him potion-consumption heavy

Skill Priority and Usage
Be sure to obtain Level 1 on all your skills before following the prioritization. Like most classes, the priority is maxing your passive skills before working on active skills. Quick Step is the only passive you should least prioritize.

Specific Skills Usage
- In Solo PvP, you can choose to upgrade Mortal Blow instead of Sting to add a Knockdown skill in your combo.
- Once you get your Class Advance, you can forgo your 1st set of skills (apart from Mortal Blow).
- Weapon Mastery for added damage, Armor Mastery for survivability.
- Ideally, you should use your Vicious Stance right after the enemy is knocked down or stunned, not during the start of your battle. The Max Crit Rate buff only lasts for 4 seconds, so you need to be close to the enemy for a maximum burst. Alternatively, if you prefer to use Vicious Stance at the start of the battle, you must chain your skills immediately after activating it to take advantage of the 4 second Max Crit Rate window.

Other Useful Class Tips
- Get HP Drain & Atk. Speed for equipment substats for increased survivability and damage respectively.
- When charging towards an enemy: Mortal Blow or Razor Rain> Vicious Stance > Razor Rain or Mortal Blow > Missile Bolt and Meteor for Arena fights. OR Vicious Stance > [IMMEDIATELY] Razor Rain + Missile Bolt + Meteor Shower > Mortal Blow
- When the enemy is charging towards you: Vicious Stance > [IMMEDIATELY] Missile Bolt or Meteor Shower > Razor Rain and Mortal Blow
- Nassen is the best accessory set for Abyss Walkers, allowing you to move and approach enemies faster, as well as evade attacks. You can also use Elven set for Max Damage potential and a stun resist.
- For Rare Skills, use Missile Bolt and Meteor in PvP. Healing Strike and Absolute Shield are good for AFK-farming.
Plainswalker is better
Nope…. is not
Yes, it is.
Good guide! But what about the accesory set Arbol with the second bonus and the nerf of AW in critical damage?
Arbol set with added general damage will be an option for sure. 🙂 But for now Nassen is #1
what u meaning “will be ensure” that means for this possition of G better and end of game when we gonna reach 260 arbol gonna be best option? Cuz i rly wanna focus even from now to end game and be bassed only for pvp build. Pls light me with your oppinion
what about black ore?
Abyss Walker is too squishy to use a Black Ore set. The damage taken by them is prominent with or without crit, so it is best to utilize a set that enhances his advantages, Nassen for move speed or Elven for added damage + CC resist. Black Ore sets are recommended for Warrior Class and Support type characters (Ex: Paladin, Elder, Shillien Knight).
the abyss walker will be NERF?
no future nerf announces so far 🙂
How much points should I invest in Light Armor Mastery?
Im lvl 94 with Light Armor lvl 13. Getting hit hard on CT3
To resolve getting hit hard in Elite Dungeons, primarily increase your HP and P.Def by leveling/enhancing your armors/necklace/earing. Then make sure your HP Drain is at least 3% because the lifesteal scales on ATK power. Light Armor mastery is a 2nd priority to increase evasion stat. Take note that only Heavy Armor (for Warriors) decreases damage taken from enemies, Light Armor gives evasion and Robe gives Atk dmg.
So Power Thrust is bad? Because i’m using in with Vicious and Razor :/ Why we cant buy Bottle for restart our skills ?
Others prefer Power Thrust over Mortal blow. But Mortal Blow slightly leads in damage. I think either of the 2 works, just user preferences. 🙂 We can’t use pots in arena anyways, and maybe because it destroys the PvP teamplay if they allow such thing.
I mean Sands of Oblivion, i can buy it somewhere? 😉
Oh I see. it is available in KR/SEA servers for $10, maybe soon in NA 🙂
good guide in general. only thing i have to add is mortal blow over sting all the time unless u r a pure pve player. do not lvl up the passive skill Seek Blood past lv15. the increase is too insignificant to bother upgrading it any further. u need to focus a lot on lvling active skills for the AW because he depends on his burst.
Thanks for sharing your insight! I agree with Mortal Blow>Sting in PvP. 🙂
why seek blood 3rd to add?
Early game, it becomes easier to burst down enemies less than half HP thus faster progress, it also helps in overall team production. Active skills have high scaling per level but long cooldown so you won’t use it that often, however you can set their priority equal to seek blood depending on preference.
Hi for runes am I suppose to max everything as much as I can?
Hi KcAoC! Yes. They are a good source of permanent CP including Elixirs & Cores so you should max them when you have the resources (Rune fragments & Adena). You can check your character advancement info and make sure that Rune Imprinting is at 5 bars minimum. 🙂
sting active skill on lvl 30 will get additional damage +5%, is it correct?!
as for abbys in level 180 what level of Mortal blow should be? Do i need max him together with pasives or any special lvl of that skill will be enough?
Bladedancer can ez kill AW in 1v1 not in arena?
Bladedancers also own AW in arena. But in In 1V1 and real-time battles, Bladedancers should still be careful with AW initiation, because if they stun/knock you down first you can get die from their damage burst. 🙂
How about.no.using rare skill.is.AW is.mucj stronger than other class? In 1v1 fight same cp and gear
How about in no using rare skill, in 1v1 real time fight is AW is a beter than other class?
yes. AW has the highest damaging normal attacks
What should be used for pvp and pve
PvP – Cerberus Weapon, Reggios Armor set, Nassen or Elven Accessory set. For skills – follow PvP table
PvE (Elite) – Dark Screamer Weapon, Tracker Armor set, Nassen or Elven Accessory set. For skills – follow PvE table
PvE (Rifts) – Mithril Dagger Weapon, Dark Crystal Armor set, Nassen or Elven Accessory set. For skills – follow PvE table
Why in substats i see no abnormals stats. Also i dont see any use of HP drain in pvp set. There should be different substats one for PVE and other for PVP cuz ppl get confused.
is evasion type or crit resist better on this character?
Great overall class if you carry out defence, crit, atk and movement speeds. Also people forget that this class has NO PENALTY when using bows. I have a normal and a magic bow that helps me farm or not to get hurt in very hard instances.
Short hands, other than that .. probably not
Has NO PENALTY when using bows!!!
